The goal of the project was to model a digital 3D representation of the actual device and make renders of specific views for use in various digital applications digital.

When designing the model, I paid special attention to the details and internal components of the device. I know that these small details are crucial to achieve a high-quality end result.

 

I took care to carefully model the interior of the device, as it is just as important as its exterior. By focusing on every detail, I was able to create a realistic, high-fidelity model that accurately reflects the actual device.

For this 3D model, I had to create dedicated textures to achieve a realistic effect and accurately represent the materials used. Textures play a key role in 3D modeling because they add depth and detail to the model, making it more visually appealing and believable.

 

The process of creating textures involved determining the color, gloss and roughness of the materials used in the real object.

Texture preparation

I obtained a physical model of the device and proceeded to take pictures of it. Using Photoshop, I sized the photos to their actual scale. I then began to model the object in 3D based on the dimensioned photos.

 

Dimensioning the photos in Photoshop allowed me to accurately transfer the real dimensions of the physical model into the 3D modeling software. This was crucial to ensure that the final 3D model would be an exact replica of the physical device, with accurate reproduction of all details and measurements
